Model FFST fiber feed through, sometimes also called fiber penetrator, is an ideal device to allow fiber passage through the wall of a pressure
or vacuum vessel. The standard model offers ST style receptacles on both sides. Chose either singlemode or multimode fiber. There are two ratings:
10,000 psi for high pressure and 1,000 psi for low pressure and vacuum applications.
Stainless steel 303 is the standard material suitable for a wide variety of gases or fluids. The device can
accommodate wall thickness up to 25.4 mm.
For wall thickness of 10 mm or less, an adapter is available. Standard shaft diameter is 8.0 mm. Adapters are also available for larger hole diameters.

The ambient side (lower left in the picture) employs a spring loaded fiber ferrule
promising highly repeatable insertion loss performance. This feature is critical for
consistent and reliable testing. The same side is removable by the user for installation and ferrule cleaning.
