SRP90 series sliprings are designed to provide very high load (0.5 ton) along the rotational axis between the rotor and the stator. The design is based on “pancake” style ring and brush blocks. They can accept Princetel’s MJX series and possibly RPT series FORJs. The picture on the left shows an 2-ring version with a single mode single-channel (MJX) FORJ. More rings can be accommodated.
The fiber optic rotary joint is completely hidden inside the package. The strong housing material provides excellent protection. The integrated device is expected to comply with Telcordia’s (GR1209 CORE and GR1221 CORE) 500 G shock/impact requirement.
